Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering
(B.Sc. in CE for Diploma Holders)
Objectives and Goal
The increasing needs for civil engineers in worldwide job markets need not to be overemphasized. To keep pace with the advancement in Civil engineering and provide emphasis in fulfilling the needs, it is essential that efforts are made both in the public and private sectors to develop human resources in this particular field in Bangladesh.

The teachers responsible for the course will determine Grades/GPA. The final result will be prepared by cumulating the grade point average over the courses. The UGC approved common grading system is adopted for assigning a letter grade and grade point. This is given in the following table:

Sessional and Lab Courses :
The assessment in sessional/field work courses is made by observing the student in the respective lab classes and also by taking viva-voce, written Tests and practical tests. Distribution of Marks
Twenty percent (20%) of marks of a theoretical course shall be allotted for continuous assessment, i.e. attendance quizzes, home assignments, class tests and class participation. The rest of the marks will be allotted to Midterm and Term Final examinations. Distribution of marks for a given course is as follows:
